XenTegra Names Philip Sellers Chief Technology Officer

Nov 7, 2025

Huntersville, NC – November 5th – XenTegra is proud to announce the appointment of Philip Sellers as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this strategic elevation, Philip will lead the company’s technology vision, engineering strategy, and integrated solution delivery to support clients across the full stack, from infrastructure hardware through cloud services, application delivery, and security.

“When you’re building technology for people, you can’t silo your teams or your partners. The tech stack only works when everything is aligned,” said Andy Whiteside, CEO and founder of XenTegra. “Philip understands that principle deeply. He has the rare ability to see the entire stack through the client’s eyes and translate it into real-world outcomes.”

A Proven Technology Leader

With more than two decades of experience in datacenter and cloud modernization, Philip has helped hundreds of organizations evolve their infrastructure for speed, scalability, and resiliency. A 1998 graduate of Chesterfield High School and a 2002 graduate of Coastal Carolina University, Sellers first took the reins as Director of Modern Datacenter in 2024, where he expanded XenTegra’s infrastructure practice for greater scalability and efficiency. Since then, he has helped shape the company’s broader modernization strategy, connecting datacenter innovation to client experience and outcomes.

He has earned industry recognition as the 2023 Nutanix Partner Sales Engineer of the Year, a Nutanix Technology Champion, Nutanix Partner Elite, and VMware vExpert. A former VMware User Group Leader, Philip has long been an active voice in the virtualization community, championing collaboration and knowledge sharing. His leadership also contributed to XenTegra achieving Premier Reseller status within the Nutanix Elevate Partner Program, underscoring his role in advancing strategic vendor partnerships.

As host of the Nutanix Weekly podcast, Philip has also become a trusted voice for education and strategy, helping clients understand not just what to modernize but why it matters. His appointment as CTO reinforces XenTegra’s commitment to a holistic, vendor-agnostic approach that integrates every layer of IT from core to cloud to workspace.

“I’ve always believed technology works best when it’s connected across platforms, people, and outcomes,” said Philip Sellers. “This new role is about bringing that same connected mindset to how we serve our clients. My goal is to ensure every engagement reflects our belief that IT is the foundation for how people and organizations succeed.”

What Clients Can Expect

Under Philip’s leadership, XenTegra clients can expect an even stronger emphasis on cross-practice collaborationconsistent delivery standardset innovative architectures that align with long-term business goals. This includes:

  • Seamless coordination across all XenTegra practices.
  • A continued focus on vendor-neutral strategies that prioritize client outcomes over product silos.
  • New frameworks for assessment, modernization, and lifecycle management that simplify complexity while maximizing ROI.
